  1. Jan 19,  · The Red Shoes, in all its beauty and tragedy, in its impossible decisions concerning art and life, is one of Kate Bush ’s favorite films. She named her seventh album after it. When Bush’s The Red.

  3. The album is a continuation of Bush's multi-layered and multiple musical pursuits and interests. If not her strongest work -- a number of songs sound okay without being particularly stellar, especially given Bush's past heights -- Red Shoes is still an enjoyable listen with a number of diversions. The guest performer list is worthy of note alone, ranging from Procol Harum pianist Gary Brooker.
  4. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia "Rubberband Girl" is a song by English singer-songwriter Kate Bush that was the first of five singles released from her seventh studio album, The Red Shoes, in The song marked Bush's return from her third three-year hiatus.
  5. The Red Shoes is an inconsistent album. It gives you the best and the worst of Bush in the same album. This was a troubled time for Bush, who had suffered a series of bereavements including the loss of her guitarist & her mother who died the year before the album's release.

  8. Oct 09,  · The Red Shoes isn't really that bad. I mean I'd be quite happy if I never heard Big Stripey Lie, Constellation of the Heart and Why Should I Love You ever again but every other track is atleast a 7. The album itself is on par with Never For Ever and beats out Lionheart, 50 Words For Snow, Director's Cut and The Sensual World.
